Since 2019, Keonna has helped over 1500 Black women and visionary leaders and over 25 organizations forge a path of purpose without sacrificing REST.
Her bio.
As a coach, speaker and strategist, Keonna mentors and trains entrepreneurs, executives, and mission-driven teams to achieve extraordinary results without sacrificing their rest, health, or humanity. After burning out as a 5th grade teacher in East Oakland, she experienced firsthand how purpose without sustainability quietly breaks the people carrying the mission. Today, she pairs that lived insight with her expertise as a trained therapist, yoga and mindfulness instructor, educator, and executive coach to translate wellness and rest from abstract buzzwords into proven strategies for sustainability, resilience, and real impact. Over 2,000 leaders and 35+ workplaces have been transformed by Keonna’s work and she’s still going! Her work now includes hosting the first ever Christ-centered rest retreat for Black women in the nation, helping women who have spent a lifetime putting others first rediscover their worth beyond productivity and rest without apology. How Keonna Transformed Her Life
5th Grade Teacher in Oakland, California
2018

While an undergrad at Penn State, Keonna knew her calling was to be a classroom teacher and social change agent within the public school system. However, just three months into teaching, she found herself completely burnt out with few resources or support to show up for herself while showing up for her students.
Yoga Instructor & Wellness Educator
2019

Determined to heal herself and her community, Keonna immersed herself in yoga teacher training and began creating healing tools for overcoming burnout. After a few months, she was leading weekly yoga classes for her students, creating curriculum rooted in mindfulness and ancestral wisdom, and facilitating self-care workshops for her colleagues.
Healing from Grief & Building Curriculum
2020-21

In June 2020, Keonna faced the devastating loss of her Granny to COVID-19. The shock left her paralyzed, but instead of pushing through like she was taught, she gave herself permission to grieve and heal. During this time, Keonna uncovered new healing practices, overcame fears, and broke generational cycles. Her journey to rest became the foundation of Heal with Keonna’s R.E.S.T. curriculum.
Courage Coach & Wellness Educator
2021

Through deep healing and breaking generational cycles, Keonna learned to design a life that centered both her purpose and wellness. Feeling her Granny’s spirit guiding her, Keonna began offering coaching, healing meditations and community spaces specifically for Black women, empowering them to break generational cycles and create lives centered on wellness, healing, and liberation.
Courage Coach & Counselor-in-Training
2021-22

While building her coaching practice, Keonna pursued a master’s degree in Counselor Education to enhance her ability to support Black women, visionary leaders and communities on their healing journeys. She partnered with non-profits to provide free counseling and wellness services to underserved families, expanding her impact and making mental health accessible through workshops and coaching.
Coach, Speaker & Strategist
2022-Present

Keonna completed her master’s degree in Counselor Education and now spends her days coaching Black women and visionary leaders, facilitating wellness workshops, and taking restorative naps when needed. As a full-time coach, speaker and strategist, she has discovered how to achieve success and rest, on her own terms. Her mission is to help you do the same.
